Shaylin Todd is a 2000 Teach For America corps member. Shaylin taught at the elementary level for 5 years in Baltimore before becoming a Resident Principal with New Leaders in 2005. After serving as principal for several years, Shaylin transitioned to working for New Leaders in 2010. While with New Leaders Shaylin worked as Managing Director of Programs in Baltimore overseeing the following programs; Emerging Leaders, Aspiring Principals and Principal Institute.
Shaylin also worked on the National Program team serving as a Director of School Leadership Development. In this role, Shaylin worked to develop, design, and deliver content for the Aspiring Principals. She served as a liaison to align curriculum across the program, as well as served as a Content Liaison for Literacy and School Culture.
Currently, Shaylin is working as an Educational Consultant; supporting, coaching, and mentoring school leaders, delivering professional development and developing recruitment and hiring protocols for school leaders. Shaylin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia State University and a Masters of Art in Education from Johns Hopkins University. At T2L, Shaylin coaches school leaders through the Ignite Program.
